Summary

Many companies are starting to realise the potential of Virtual Reality (VR) and are interested in the field. Leading Information Technology (IT) companies such as Google, Apple, Facebook, and IBM are all investing in VR. Areas in which VR has been particularly successful include learning and game development. Forbes recently called VR the ‘learning aid of the 21st century’ as research indicates that when learning through a VR exercise, people retain more content, and are better at applying what they have learned. With the interest in VR expanding and VR hardware and software becoming readily available and affordable, now is an ideal time to start learning this skill that will propel you into the future.

This course has been developed to provide insight into the world of VR and will give you the foundational knowledge to work from. There is also a practical component to the course that teaches you the basics of VR development and allows you to develop your own Virtual Reality application. This means that you will not only leave with the theoretical knowledge but also practical skills that you can implement immediately in your work or personal projects.
