Summary

The course will provide you with foundational M&E theory as well as the application of M&E skills, such as data collection tools, using M&E findings for enhancing learning and stakeholder engagement, planning a project using the logical framework, developing a clear theory of change, and writing clear evaluation reports.

Subject Matter Expert

Martha Sibanda holds a PhD from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with expertise in community development, monitoring and evaluation, disaster risk reduction, public management and administration. Her other research interests include development management, climate change impact on rural and the urban poor, gender issues and innovative pedagogical practices in Higher Education in Africa.

Martha is passionate about monitoring and evaluation as, combined, they form a very powerful project management tool and inform an organisation or individuals on whether the desired project goals and impact are being achieved.

As an experienced social science researcher, she loves sharing new skills and knowledge with others, and ultimately enhancing their capabilities in handling issues that affect their line of work and personal lives.
